Abstract
Real Schur roots are important in understanding representations of quivers and they also appear in the denominators of non-initial cluster variables of acyclic quivers in the theory of cluster algebras. However, it seems difficult to describe real Schur roots in a concrete way that distinguishes them among all positive real roots. In this talk, we will consider rank 3 acyclic quivers with multiple arrows between every pair of vertices, and describe their real Schur roots using a certain set of simple curves on (the universal cover of) a once-punctured torus in such a way that real Schur roots are distictively determined. We will also consider a conjectural generalization to acyclic quivers of arbitrary ranks. This is a collaboration with Kyungyong Lee.
