Abstract
We will investigate a knot in the 3-sphere from an arithmetic point of view. In the first part, we will introduce Bianchi modular forms using group homology, and present how some of them arise from knots. We will discuss examples of the unknot, the figure-eight and the trefoil. In the second part, we will show that any form arising in this way is an eigenvector for every unramified Hecke operator. We will look into the examples from the first part, and determine the Hecke operators on them.
